Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful mothers! Every person has at sometime been benefited by a mother, so we all have something for which we can be thankful! Just before Mother’s day, we took a trip down to Texas!

On the way down, we stopped to fill up the van with fuel and Paul saw a big firetruck. The firemen were so kind and let Paul sit up on the side of the truck and get a picture.

Homeschool Convention with the Duggar Family:

We were blessed to be able to travel to help the Duggar family as they ministered this past weekend to families attending a Homeschool Convention. We usually get to help with logistics such as organizing the book signing, selling their books as well as other recommended resources and helping interface with the team hosting the function at the facility.

Michelle Duggar took time to share with a packed room of nearly a thousand moms during one of the breakout sessions that the Duggar Family did. She shared from her wealth of experience and from a Biblical perspective about homeschooling, parenting, marriage and more.

Friday Lunch, Paul and Priscilla and a bunch of the Duggar children picked up lunch for David and the team while they were meeting with people

We are often amazed at the personal attention and love shown by each of the Duggars to the many people they meet. They would be the first to say, the love comes from God!

On Saturday evening, the Duggar family gave about thirty minutes of music. People were so excited to be able to hear the Duggar family live.After the music and sharing, Jim Bob and Michelle spoke to the audience. They shared about the journey that God has brought them on to draw them and their family closer to Him.

In the back foyer, David’s brothers and sister set up a few more books so people who wanted to take advantage of the book signing could get one if they did not have one or bring one.

Many of the families stood in line for over an hour to finally get a chance to greet the Duggar family and get a picture along with their signed book.

David helped keep the line moving by snapping photographs on people’s personal cell phones for them. It was nearly midnight when we had wrapped everything up.

The next morning we packed up the bus with the six or seven carts of luggage from the few days at the Convention. Jennifer and Josie loved to ride on the carts in their unusual style.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, some dear friends of ours took the whole clan out to a restaurant in McKinney, Texas.

We took a few minutes to snap a few pictures of Priscilla and her beautiful children.

We enjoyed a relaxing time of fellowship celebrating the mother’s that have impacted our lives as well as celebrating the completion of a convention and the work God did in the hearts and lives of many who were there!

While following the Duggar bus back to Northwest, Arkansas we encountered some severe weather. Thankful, we were able to avoid much of it. One portion of the highway had some significant amount of water on it. Check out the video below:
