We are thrilled to welcome the newest member of our family, Davia Lynn Waller. Born today, Nov. 12, 2014 at 10:30am CT and weighs 8Lbs, 10 oz and is 21 inches long.

P1140128aThe name Davia [pronounced deh-VEE-uh] comes from the name David, which means beloved or loved of God. When we recognize God’s love for us, His love casts out all fear. His immense love poured out to us gives us the ability to allow God to love others through us. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).P1140121a

Lynn is Priscilla’s middle name and means tender or beautiful. We pray God would allow our little daughter to have a tender heart towards Him and others. That tender spirit is the internal radiance that reflect’s God’s love and that is the essence of internal beauty. Since Paul shares David’s middle name, we thought it would be special for our first-born girl to share Priscilla’s middle name. Heavy labor started around 2am this morning and we had the joy of welcoming our first girl into the world at 10:30am. By 2:00 this afternoon, we were most grateful for a good meal brought over by David’s brother Adam, and his wife Valerie.

We are now a family of four and thrilled about the new addition! 20141112_143136aChildren are a gift from God! Someone once asked, “How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers!”

Listen to the very first message that Davia Lynn Waller gives to her new world. Also captured is her big brother’s very first sight of his sister. He is so cute and had a hard time when someone else wanted to hold her. He kept asking for more time with her. What a sweet beginning to a life-long relationship.

  2. Congratulations on your precious little daughter! What a blessing and what a beautiful name! Your godly lives inspire me and as a young woman, I am blessed by the example you have both shown as I have been able to read about your family, from courtship to marriage to having children.

Priscilla, thank you so much for your example of a feminine, kind, godly spirit and one of giving and thankfulness to the Lord in all things. You are such a light and are a role model to me as I pray about my future and what God has in store. It is encouraging to see how much He has cared for you and worked in your life.

God bless you all, and welcome to the world sweet Davia.

Blessings from your Sister in Christ,
    Jazzmin

  8. David, Priscilla, and Paul,
Congratulations on the new arrival of your precious daughter and sister! What a blessing the Lord has graciously placed into your lives at this time! Indeed, children are an heritage unto the Lord and the fruit of the womb is His reward. Children are such a huge blessing!

Her middle name “Lynn” actually means “From the lake” or “body of water” and the Spanish origin means “pretty.” (Which you described as “beautiful”) Many people refer the name to “Refreshing” or even “refreshing waterfall.” I am slightly confused as to where you found “tender” in the meaning. My middle name is Lynn as well and I love to study names! I am curious about how it was translated into “tender.” Would love to know how you discovered that!
Praying for each one of you,
    Cristina

  20. Priscilla looks absolutely stunning!! Should I ever have a child, I wish that I would be as pretty as Priscilla this short after delivery. Wow, what a beauty!! Congrats on your precious child.

  21. Blessed Mother Teresa is the one you quoted as having said, “How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.” Congratulations on your newborn daughter 🙂 She is so cute, and we enjoyed watching Paul meet her for the first time. God Bless Y’all, Nancy

  22. Congratulations, David and Priscilla! I saw the news on Facebook the other day that your beautiful daughter had arrived, but I didn’t watch the video until now. I was amazed at the similarities we experienced, Priscilla, with our two births. I was in labor with my first son, Isaac, for 27 hours also and then when Josiah came along 16 months later, labor started at midnight and then he was born at 10:38 a.m. I know the feeling of such great relief at a shorter, easier labor, and I’m so glad it was the same for you! It was fun re-living our memories of introducing Isaac to his baby brother by watching Paul with Davia. He looks like he is going to be a great big brother! I am praising the Lord with you for your precious bundle of joy!

  35. Congrats on welcoming Davia into this world! What a beautiful name! Davia and I share the same birthday! It is neat to see that we share a mutual friend, Ruthie W from Laramie. I was excited several months ago to see her shinning face and beautiful smile on a blog post about prison ministry. God bless you and your family!
