Prison Ministry

When we mention to people that Priscilla has been in and out of prison since she was sixteen, people give us “the look” and then it dawns on them, “Oh, that is right. Her father does prison ministry.” It is humorous but also usually turns into a time of sharing about what God has done through one of the fastest growing populations in the United States–inmates!

Our prison Journey to the Heart volunteers gathered for the first time for some orientation and prayer. What a beautiful location right in the yard of the Keller's home.

Soon after Paul was born we were blessed to be able to follow through on some plans we had made to conduct a Journey to the Heart in some prisons in Ocala, Florida, which is about 3o minutes from where Priscilla grew up. As you might remember, we were blessed to do the first ever Journey to the Heart in a prison in October of last year and saw God’s hand in mighty ways. This time, we followed up on those same inmates as well as added another nearby men’s prison. We again had the privilege of seeing God transform lives each day. One inmate reported that he had gone through many programs while in prison but had never had heard God’s truths explained so practically as he had that week. One candidly came up and stated, “I’ve found my born date!” Trying to figure out what he meant he repeated, “I found my born date! I’m go’in to heaven!” You can read more about the Prison Journey in a full report here.

Maybe other young people reading here can stop making an idol of the modern world and follow your lead. Something to thing to consider?
